Nadundoo is a farming Community located in the mion District of the Northern Region, for over decades now, the only health facility that serve other 14 adjoining communities has been In operation without portable drinking water.
This has forced the clients to travel miles before getting water to clean themselves after delivery. Cases such as typhoid and maternal death have seen increased within the community due to the lack of potable water.
To elevate the plight, Abundant Love Mission International after a visit cut sot for construction works to start on a bore hole to save lives of the community members however, after a successful completion of the project, it was commissioned for the community on February 3, 2022, by the Executive Director Pastor Morris Ala Sowah.
Abundant Love Mission is a Christian faith that brings help and assistance to needy, especially through non-profit organizations, social workers, nurses, and teachers who are already actively engaged in bringing holistic changes in their communities and countries.
In a delegation was Pastor Morris Ala Sowah, Pastor of Abundant Love Christian Church and the Executive Director of Abundant Love Mission International, Emmanuel Akwasi Boakyi ( Vinyard North , Ohio , USA) Board Member Abundant Love Mission International, Milicent A. Yerenkyi, Pastor Theophilus Steiner UK, Thomas Opoku Mensah , solar Energy Expert, Rev Daniel Twumasi Yeboah Bible Chapel INT LA Accra and Rev Christian Balagi, Kings Vinyard Church Accra.
Speaking to the CEO of Abundant love mission said the aim for the water project is to save lives of the community members and fulfill the scriptures that says, “As you do to this little once, you do unto me”.
The Executive Director further donates an amount of six thousand Five Hundred Ghana Cedis to the management of the hospital to take care of the needed challenges faced by the hospital.
He urged the community members and management of the Clinic to take maintenance culture seriously to make sure the water is sustained.
Expression their joy, Mr Kabil M. George on behalf of the Community chief thank the entire team of Abundant live mission and promise to take proper care of the Water project.
The Chief further called on other Philanthropists to emulate the good works of Abundant live mission In developing the community.
The Midwife in charge of the Community Madam Nathan Agnes recounted the challenges the community have undergone before the water project.
According to her, clients used to work miles away before getting water especially pregnant women. “At first, getting water in the facility here is very difficult because the entire community has only one borehole so anytime we have a labor case unless they work miles before getting water to clean-up themselves after delivery also cases like typhoid has seen increased however, with the support of Abundant love mission all this is now a thing of the past”, she added.
She further promised to put the amount donated (6500gh) to good use.
