Linking Hands, Meeting Needs
OBJECTIVES
- To be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ on the behalf of donors, reaching out to Third World Countries, and lovingly providing solutions to the problems of the challenged and desperately needy, thus fulfilling His charge to love our neighbor as ourselves.
- To liaise with foster care homes and orphanages, as well as reach out to physically and psychologically challenged and vulnerable persons, et cetera, in the diaspora, in order to address their pressing needs;
- To assess and vet charitable organizations in order to identify those that to qualify for material support and assistance;
- To offer educational and skill-based scholarships to identified exceptional vulnerable persons
- To provide overseas access for special needs children who need to receive specialized medical attention unavailable in their localities;
- To open a link and provide opportunities for families in the US to adopt vulnerable children from registered foster care homes in the diaspora.
HOW IT ALL BEGAN
A recent missions trip by two directors of Abundant Love Missions Int’l (ALMI) to Accra, Ghana, was extremely touching and revealing, and marked the birth of this ministry. Led by Pastor Morris Sowah, Senior Pastor at Abundant Love Christian Center, and Elder Naveen Diwan (an elder at the same ministry), they responded to the needs they saw from their personal resources, to the extent of their abilities, and wept that they couldn’t do more. Though the needs were great, they were not impossible – With the will to do more, a little planning, organizing, and compassion from others, ALMI can impact lives and reflect the love of God.

ALMI exists to represent merciful and compassionate donors, through touching lives with your gifts, and changing destinies of vulnerable persons whom the Lord shall bring our way. Charity is a divine act which increases the presence of God in our lives and in all that concerns us.
